It is also a big airport for international flights which means larger planes and in turn equates to additional noise, particularly in the late afternoon hours there are 747s and 777/767s landing at MCO one after the other..

It seems that just accepting the reality makes it easier - as soon as we decided that staying here is the only way, we started to get used to it in some way. With the earplugs, of course.

BTW, can anybody explain it to me - for the last 3 or 4 days, the planes like... stopped starting from the airpot. The only planes I see right now are the ones that are landing, which is A LOT easier for my ears. Can anybody explain that? Why suddenly I see them only landing, not starting?

Just curious, not that I'm complaining

Are you on a top floor, I think about you as I drive by every single day-- They change the landing and take off patterns all the time. I think depending on traffic and weather. We just came into the Snow bird season - OCT 15 though April 15th all the old people run south from the cold - then the holidays and so forth.
