Kissimmee has those places. Extended stay hotels.

Eh, I was trying to avoid Kissimmee. I am seeing lots of opportunities for Maitland, Altamonte and Lake Mary for my field, in fact I am supposed to fly over next week for a face-to-face in Maitland, so i wanted to be as close as possible to North Orlando. Besides, it sounds like a very good area to live. Maybe I'll just settle down in Kissimmee for a month or two while I have proof of income and can move to a proper, nice place.

Many places have short term rentals, I think they are called executive rentals. Kissimmee will be a long daily commute if you are working in Maitland. Look in Longwood, Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Lake Mary, Casselberry as they are closer to Maitland. Winter Park may be an option depending on price range, east Winter Park is cheaper. UCF area is not too far from Maitland so you might find short term "college oriented" housing out there. Check out apartments.com, rent.com and forrent.com.
