Hi All. I'm soon to be relocating from Atlanta to Orlando and I'm wondering about the local immigrant communities.

In Atlanta I love stopping through Decatur and its Indian and Ethiopian sections. Doraville is like Little Korea, China and Vietnam. I find Turkish and Middle Eastern stores throughout Roswell/Alpharetta; and I'm always at a Mexican carniceria for sugar and aloe. Aside from the Asian grocery stores on 50 and Dong-A Imports on Mills, where will I find my other people?

Specifically, I'll need Indo-Pak, Turkish and Mexican grocery stores. I also like to shop for clothing and home goods.

I'm also used to shopping at big international food markets (DeKalb Farmers Market and Buford Highway Market). Does Orlando have anything like that?

As you can tell international food is important to me, but that's only because food is the gateway and common language of people and I love interacting with different nationalities. I know people sometimes bash Orlando for not being top-tier, but I think I'll be okay if I can find my people.

Mexican can be found mostly in Apopka/Plymouth and OBT. Indo-Pak is more scattered but there alot on the east side and parts of Seminole.

Semoran Boulevard (436) south of Colonial. You will find your people there. All billboards in Spanish.

It's nothing compared to a major city (for example, I'm moving from San Francisco), but you still have enough options to fulfill your taste buds and needs. I haven't been to them all, but just google Indian gorcery stores Orlando. They are quite spread out, but some areas have a higher concentration of Caribbean or Asian for example.

The Spanish language encompasses a lot of places of origin. That area of town is primarily Puerto Rican.
