Long story short, our 7 year anniversary is coming up in February. I normally go all-out, as I try to kill 2 birds in one stone (V-day and anniversary fall on same weekend.)
That said, I'm planning a getaway trip, but prior to that, would like to do something local.

A few years back, I took her to dinner at Victoria & Alberts. It was worth every penny. It was amazing. I'm looking to do something on that scale (as far as romance, one-on-one experience type of thing), preferably a fancy dinner (dress-up, jacket, etc.)

Any ideas? I did Norman's before, and it was great too. But I like to avoid cliche'd places. Money is not much of a factor, and I'm willing to drive 1+ hr if needed.

Thanks!!

I looked up some of the more expensive fine dining, non-casual restaurants in Orlando. You've hit two of them already of course in V&As and Norman's. The other highest rated ones are Chatham's Place, Venetian Room, and Bull & Bear Steakhouse. Check those out. Reading through the reviews, Chatham's Place seems to be one of the best V-day destinations.

Antonio's in Maitland. You could take a walk around Lake Lily afterwards. Or possibly something in one of the resort areas. Bull and Bear Steakhouse in the Waldorf Astoria is really nice.

I was on a cruise recently and met an upper class lady from Miami. She couldn't stop raving about this restaurant in Orlando. She said it is perfect for special occasions or whenever you want to really treat yourself. I haven't been there, but she convinced me to give it a try sometime. Reviews seem to be very good.

Great! I'll browse through the suggested places! Thanks!!!

Feel free to add more suggestions, as I have a good month or so to go, and I'm sure others will appreciate advice prior to upcoming V-Day!

I have been to Christini's it is really an experience and a perfect special occasion place. Your table is assigned a waiter and assistant. There is a roving accordion player. If you get up to go the bathroom, expect someone to come out of no where to escort you there and back. Your wife will be presented a rose at the end of the meal. We took my in laws for their anniversary and they loved it, and they enjoy fine dining.
