Legal brothels do not go well with men who are looking for a regular arrangements.... they are remote and expensive. It is more of a sex tourist thing to do.

With that... there is a rise in women who have arrangements that are more like a casual sex affair with the man agreeing to fund expenses rent bills or lifestyle.

Absolutely.. protect the minors, trafficked persons, prevent outdoor (street), eliminate the pimping, and enforce current laws regarding violence and rape.

Unfortunately, this will most likely never happen... it is political suicide for any person in elected office to support such notions of sex worker rights. Sex is both love and hated in our society. We love it because we hold in higher regard than any other act that can be shared between two people.. but also hated as something that is taboo.

It is easier to topple a politician with a sex scandal than it is corruption accusations. Arguably corruption has more of an impact on his/her constituents than sex... but sex is what we focus on.

I disagree somewhat

While there are lots of tourists here with their families it certainly isnt EVERY tourist that comes to Orlando

Just remember the Orange County Convention Center always has something going on, lots of business travelers who are "well to do" come to town for work....and they DO want to indulge in some intimate pleasures in their downtime, I'm sure a lot of call girls are working out of hotels up and down I-Drive catering to (and often married) business travelers that come to Orlando. Just because its not out in the open does not mean its not happening, and a lot of those girls (not always) usually work independantly and can take care of themselves, they usually dont have pimps so its "safer" to a degree

These same girls might entertain some frat boys who come in for spring break (yes Orlando is a bigger spring break town than you might think, and picking up a girl at a bar just is NOT easy in a city full of prudes) and even local men who want to indulge in something discreet

I say if it's done discreetly and its behind closed doors, as far as I'm concerned its just 2 adults agreeing on a business transaction if you will, they agree on the amount, she performs her "Service" the client gets the satisfaction he was desiring and than they go seperate ways

Whats wrong with that?

2 adults agreeing if nobody is forced, beat or drugged- none my business- ( let your wife beat ya)- but as I said- far and few in the larger scope of things. Many of these girls are still at risk- because many weird folks-- again it is a small percentage- but its there

Someone mentioned Walt Disney World has regulation on what the strip clubs are allowed to do vs what is allowed in Tampa Bay area. What other restrictions does Walt Disney World impose on Orlando politics and how does Universal and Seaworld counter or agree politically or do they? I have read other post about how Walt Disney Walt has an effect on Orlando politics. Maybe this is what makes the huge difference between how the casinos influence Las Vegas.

They just want to keep Orlando a family friendly destination and I imagine the other theme park companies agree. I found out because when I turned 18 I went to a couple strip clubs and was like why are you wearing pasties and they told me about Disney and how they shaped local laws in Orlando.

Yes there are ordinances / why I said not out for show or in plain view. But saw the sting this weekend? 18 arrested workers from our area... And looking for actual victims from some confessions the predators made. The sheriff said posted a line and in minutes the piranha showed up.
