They live in the ground and like to die in my pool- seems March is suicide month- I am not sure what to do about that except the normal keeping pool clean- I have some citronella plants out helps a bit with mosquitos and keeping things nice and clean I don't complain about our bugs-- go to Brazil and see what appears to be a tiny alien planet of the strangest bugs ever. weird is not a good enough word -

Ahhh. I forgot Kamakazie bugs. They can be a problem especially without a screened in pool enclosure.

No big bug problems here! I have Orkin and they come every month here (up North they came quarterly). Before I lived here, I was stung by a fire ant (ow!) on vacation. After moving, I got bitten by something venomous. The doctors thought it was a snake, two punctures, but I KNOW I felt one puncture with searing pain and then, seconds later, a second. So I'm not so sure about the snake thing, but everything was fine in the end.

If you garden, don't leave the branches and stuff on the walkway and then try to shove it all into the can after dark. LOOK at whatever you pick up or push down, nature-wise. Gloves don't stop everything.

Tiny flying ants arrive in the spring to die in my pool and I do have a cage. Don't know how those buggars get in.

One time, I found a dead "palmetto bug" (giant roach) in my garage.

Lots of frogs. OMG, so many frogs all over the neighborhood at night.

Other than that, nothing. The bugs have not been the big deal I was told they would be when I said, "I'm moving to Florida."

And every once in a while, I see a bunny.
