If by "southern" you mean polite and friendly, anywhere outside the bigger areas, especially outside the tourist areas. Guys open doors, people smile and say hello, nobody seems to be in all that big a hurry. Nice, normal, pleasant.

People often say that Florida is to the south, though. So, there's that.

We have a lot of ranches and cowboys around here (N of Orlando to Ocala). Sometimes I think I'm in Texas.

South Florida does very much have southern culture.

Most born and raised locals here are southerners. Especially out in the Everglades, Homestead, and Florida City.

I'm sure I can find MANY coastal counties south of St. Augustine that have plenty of southern culture.

Fort Myers-Cape Coral-Pt. Charlotte-Naples is it's own metro of over 1 million people. We generally just all it South West Florida or SWFL. Up until about 15 years ago it was very southern and still is in many places. Pretty much once you get away from the beach it's pretty country.
