Couldn't be happier. A huge sigh of relief will be heard as we hit the road in August.

I recently moved from San Francisco lol and loving it here. Do you know what area you are moving to in Orlando? It's amazing how far your money goes here when it comes to housing.

We are going to post up in Lake Conway area until we find the area of town we want to buy a home. You know exactly what we're trying to escape.

We made it to Orlando. We haven't decided 100% on the area we are targeting because my priority is finding office space. We are posted up in Belle Isle which is a nice area thus far but all the office space my broker is showing is in the UCF area. I do not want to have the same commute I had in Palo Alto. Everyone told me the traffic here sucks -- it isn't great but it does not compare to Silicon Valley.

Why is your broker showing you space in the UCF area? Unless you need to be in that area for your work, it would not be anywhere near the top of my list.

It is my broker for office space and my company is a big data and genetics company. It's a good recruiting ground and office space is dirt cheap (compared to Palo Alto and NYC)

Or... You could just try Maitland Center, which has a mix of Class A and B office buildings.

We want a presence with UCF and to partner with them when we conduct research. Maitland Center is on our list as well.

I always wonder where those people who complain about the traffic came from.

It seems much worse in most other cities I've been to / lived in.
