My family and I are planning on relocating to Orlando looking for area near Valencia College (East Campus) I think it's 32824 zip code. We've been to Orlando several time but just in the tourist areas. Thinking about renting first or rent to own. Any suggestions on safe neighborhoods? Looking forward to your comments Thank you!😊

Away from Tourist areas it is not THAT different from Jacksonville suburbs, that area of Orlando reminds me of areas like Orange Park, East Arlington or Mandarin. [No reason for anyone to react and say how Jax is NOTHING like Orlando. I did not say exactly the same] However there are a lot more people from up North and the Hispanic population of Orlando metro is much larger( 23% vs 8%)

The area around Valencia campus and around Colonial Dr are not desirable areas. There's probably a somewhat decent neighborhood here and there but for the most part they're more run down and older homes and apartments.

I would look along Lake Underhill corridor from Chickasaw to Waterford Chase, and along the University Blvd corridor from Goldenrod to Rouse. I would avoid anything near or along Colonial.

If you must stay near Valencia than I would recommend Waterford Lakes, Avalon Park or the areas North of Colonial. The other areas are hit and miss in my opinion.

Hi in regards of your question. I personally know the area as I have helped home buyers locally.
MEADOW WOODS has many phases and good communities. Also WYNDHAM LAKES ESTATES and SAWGRASS PLANTATION. Hope this information helps you.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions.

If you can stand a somewhat normal commute I would recommend checking out Oviedo, which has safe family-friendly neighborhoods and some of the highest rated schools in the state.
