I just moved to orlando and currently renting a condo in downtown ... Spectrum tells me I have the "fast" internet package which is 60 Mbps... Is this really the fastest they have?
What options exist for real high speed internet (150 Mbps or higher) in the Orlando area? We are going to buy a house soon, so I would like to know what options we have ... I need the speed for downloading large data sets for work
Is there FIOS or comcast xfinity option in orlando/winter park now or coming soon?

The internet in FL has pretty much always sucked and won't improve until Verizon FIOS or Comcast Xfinity become available here. Sadly AT&T and Brighthouse/Spectrum (whatever they are this week) have never offered the type of service seen elsewhere in the US.

hmm ... I wonder if it's my specific location or the building itself then that needs an infrastructure upgrade.
300 would be great.

Have you asked them do you offer a faster speed? Yeah, 300 mbps is more than I had in San Francisco. I can have 3 TVs streaming HD at once, plus I can be playing counter-strike or league and so can someone else... all at the same time, with no lag or anything.

Orlando is also one of the cities that has AT&T Fiber in some areas, if you are lucky enough to be in that part of town, you can get 1,000 mbps for like $80. I just checked and the new home I'm buying has it!

He does. To the point of posting falsehoods. This thread proves that yet again.

Kinda wonder why he hasn't moved out yet to somewhere more "progressive" with a "living wage" lol

Tampa has FiOS. I believe some pockets of Orlando have AT&T Fiber. Florida is not in the dumps when it comes to technology. The Miami area tends to get the newer things first as the major city, but Tampa and Orlando aren't far behind.
