Looking to rent and I feel all I see are buildings to rent. I know someone who lives near Curry Ford and Semoran (Avery Place villas) where they have these small houses but other than that I don't see much anywhere else. Not really wanting that area but this can't be the only one??

I know this is a broad description but does anyone have any ideas? I am moving from a house into apartment (to start new position) so hoping to feel comfortable and not sure a 3rd floor complex would be for me at this time. Looking for single house/villa/townhouse. Ok with connecting just didn't want the "building" feel.

Any suggestions?

There are plenty of houses for rent. I think the thing is that most renters are there long-term. So, lots of people in the houses are actually renting, but stay there for many years. If you go to any of the major realty website, they usually have some renters. Sometimes just asking around in a workplace can help too, since many people can help you out by word-of-mouth.

Thanks to the both of you! Just posted another thread a little more specific. I have to move quickly and it's all overwhelming!

I am ok with the building type apartments if need be guess just worried I will be in for a shock and trying to find the best areas and communities!
