I've always thought Altamonte has horrendous traffic.

The area you're looking at probably isn't so bad, since I-Drive doesn't get too bad down there and you can go around most traffic via Universal Blvd.

The Disney area off I-4 is horrible. Every time I drive from Tampa I think gosh, Tampa does not that have it that bad.

I agree regarding I-Drive, not so bad. In terms of Altamonte, it doesn't touch Alafaya Trail in East Orlando.

Do you mean World dr,the street that runs north-south from I-4 to Magic Kingdom or World Center Dr that runs east west and is also known as 536.

I think he means World Center Dr, but good observation skills.

They have a lot of nice apartments there and it's a new area. The only thing is that even though International Dr. itself doesn't have that much traffic (since it's a 6 lane road for most of the way, there is a lot of traffic on Vineland Ave, because of the Outlet Mall, and so there's a ton of traffic trying to get out of Vineland Ave going to I-4 because it's a small road and the Outlet Mall is so popular with people. It's ridiculously crowded. The Outlet Mall there and in International Dr and Oak Ridge, are by far the busiest malls in the Orlando area. For some reason tourists love it.

The only problem is that there's often traffic in Vineland Ave and there's sometimes traffic going to Central Florida Pkwy as well, because that intersection is poorly-designed. It forces all people who are making a right turn to wait on the light, because there's not an exclusive right-turn lane, so people going right have to wait for the people that are going straight and are waiting for the light. That causes back ups all the time. That being said it looks like that section of International Dr is currently being turned into a 6-lane highway so that should alleviate things a little bit.

The only issue is that's it's hard to get on I-4 from there. It's a little tricky. Currently, the 535 exit is the only one to get to I-4 from there. There's no other exit until Sand Lake or if you go on the Beachline on International Dr. Also that part of I-4 is often backed up, again because the 535 intersection is poorly-designed, I think. The good news is that there often are lots of ways to go around if you really need to. Also, apparently with the new "Ultimate I-4" project they're supposed to be working on, they said they'll try to add a new exit next to the mall so that should help alleviate traffic even more.

Overall, it's a good area and it's close to a lot of places. Lots of new luxury apartments. It's just more expensive than most areas, but if you can afford it, then it's a good place.

Interesting list. I'll have to disagree with anything Lee Rd related. I've never had issues on that entire stretch
