as earlier NYC forum posts of mine make clear, I've had a crappy year financially. I'm now down in Orlando and living with my parents.

I am working, but still in need of 1-3 grand to get back on my feet.

Does anyone know a loan shark in the Orlando area? I'm willing to pay a healthy interest rate. Not looking for a bank-to-bank transfer, cash only, meeting in person.

No need to lecture me on the dangers or ill-decision of using a loan shark, I'm aware. My credit isn't good enough for the various alternative credit sources.

Thanks.

If you're looking for a loan shark on City-Data, you probably have no business using a loan shark.

I can be your loan shark, but I need the name and addresses of your family members.

lol jk, have you tried looking into P2P lending such as Lending Club. I don't think you'd have any problems. Best of luck to you!

Appreciate the reply, but my credit isn't good enough for that or similar sites. Thanks anyways.

I know you don't want comments but the mom in me won't be still. Same advice I give to my own kids, their friends, my nephews, nieces.....How many jobs are you working? Living at home working 2 jobs will let you accumulate that type of money if you knuckle down and don't spend unwisely in the mean time. If you have anything you can sell and get money for....sell it. You can live without expensive smart phones(use library), electronics, fancy cars, any car(walk, ride a bike, take the bus). Time to man up and get things in order. Sometimes life is tough; but only you can change the pattern that got you there. Paying 100% interest will never work out. Broken bones for nonpayment will not help the situation.
Off the mom platform.

Have you tried because they on the investor side of it, they have borrowers with scores under 600?

Just a thought, but have you considered a second job? While not ideal it will allow you to catch up, where a "payday loan" or similar will not in the long run. If you have any customer service skills something like a waiter position would allow minimal extra hours worked (5 hours-ish per day) and the ability to maximize your return with $20+ an hour a good possibility if not working someplace like Applebee's or a random dive.

That or call centers. People DO stack up over 1,000 per week selling vacation packages to foreigners. The job sucks, but when times get tough (we've all been there, trust me) those grinding hours make a huge difference in your eventual outcome.
