This is a city, a large one at that, and has city problems- anything can happen anywhere at any time--I hear gruesome news out of the back woods too - evil has no address-

At least in Orlando, you can own a gun and use lethal force if your life is in danger. Where I moved from, I'd rather take the shot or stabbing and hope I survive rather than spend life in prison for using lethal force against a person of no choice but to enter and potentially kill and rob me.

Sorry but having 49 people murdered in a nightclub by a terrorist is not something being "blown way out of proportion" by the media.
Neither is having 5 people murdered by a ex-employee. These aren't common occurrences in Orlando or mostly anywhere else in the US.
The hate for the media is becoming ridiculous.

No. Violence can happen anywhere, anytime. But Orlando is not more at risk than any other place in the US, or in the world.

I said the COVERAGE was over the top. The event was tragic, yes, but if you truly believe that the media doesn't purposely "blow things out of proportion," you are mistaken.
It's not a hate for the media; it's a disdain for those who stir up political agendas in order to increase ratings. In no way should the whole Trayvon Martin issue have turned out the way it did. The media's coverage is entirely at fault for it. And now, when people think Sanford, FL (even people from outside FL who don't even know where it is on a map) they immediately associate it with that event.

And then yesterday, with the shooting, if you listened to -- or watched -- most coverage, it's as though reporters were HOPING it was some terrorist activity, that way they would have weeks, if not months, of high-rated work.

He's not saying that the reporters were happy about people being killed. They were just hoping that instead of workplace violence being the cause of the shootings, that it would instead be an act of terror so that the news station could spin the narrative to match their agenda. Every news outlet does it one way or the other and it's horrible, but absolutely exists. Media has no accountability or ethics anymore, it's just whatever gets them the clicks or views first before their competitors.

Drama is the new norm. When one of our kids would go over board we would call them "channel 7 news" Why? Because they were sensationalizing -bigger than life -over the top! Drama queens ! The hulk -
That's the new Jerry springer, reality shows, and gaming. There are none that don't do that, it's no longer a strong summer rain storm, it's wicked weather ! It does not matter if it's related to terrorism, it's news they want all eyes on them.. but even on here- first thing out the door, bet they were Islamic terrorist. Then find out later just a plain ole white boy who was a vet. The rubberneckers alive and well now looking for their thrill on media . You blame the media, like some guy we all know, yet they create it the drama-- and people look for their validation to prove they "are right"!
