They inherited it from generations prior who worked hard for it. There is no excuse to let the place get run-down like that. And it has nothing to do with being the ghetto. Pine Hills is just as crime-ridden, but yet there are plenty reasons to venture out there, as there are a number of high-quality specialty businesses that thrive. The neighborhoods are also properly kept-up.
Parramore cannot remain like that. It is not what it used to be.

This is absolutely correct. I am hard pressed to think of any part of Parramore where change would not be a positive. It has nothing to do with the income of it's residents, it has to do with complete neglect.

So all of that ruckus and refusal to relocate (with a very large paycheck) was for nothing?
What happened to them? Did they realize after the fact that it would be very difficult to hold Sunday service with NBA games on one side and a 25,000 LOUD roofless soccer stadium stadium right next to them?
Something tells me they regret not having taken that offer.

I wonder what will go there next. Parking garage maybe? God knows we need one.
Well that is interesting news!! Doesnt OCSC get most of the property surrounding it?

That process would have held up the stadium being built. Now the stadium is in place and OCSC will get that land for a low price I am assuming.

Apparently I was wrong. It's still there... I haven't driven past there since, but other posters say they saw it.
