Where to rent?

I'm coming from a 2 bed/2 bath (living with roommates) to a 1 bed/1 bath unit in March. Tbh, studios and 1 bedroom units in "good areas" are rather expensive in Central Florida. For something in the location you desire, on average I'm seeing $1,200 and up. I can agree that Carlton Arms isn't in the best location. Is it livable? Of course, but I wouldn't advise a friend to live there.

I currently live in Millenia and I'm going to stay in my same apartment complex and just bite the bullet with a slightly higher rent than I wanted, just because I'm used to the area and have adjusted.

Are there any sites for relocating to Orlando?

I wanted to start searching for apartments and safe areas in Orlando.

That's smack in the middle of the one bad section of Winter Park which is actually not within the city limits, rather an unincorporated area. If one considers the average one bedroom rents for around $1000 in the Orlando area it would help explain why Carlton Arms is renting in the $800 range. If your budget is pretty much cast in stone it is what it is, but would suggest if all possible trying to come up a little higher to insure something a good bit more desirable to live in.

@Kyle19125, I am looking at a duplex in what I think is an unincorporated area near Howell Branch Rd and Semoran Boulevard. How is that area for desirability and safety? Thanks!
