Hi All,

We are an Indian family with a kid ready to go to middle school soon We are planning to move from North Carolina to Florida.

We are looking for apartment recommendations with 3 major things:

1. Good Schools(Elementary/Middle and High)

2. Safe Neighborhood

3. We prefer Indianan grocery and temples with a touch of city living.

4. Low rent( <=1300$)

I have heard the following recommendations so far:

1. Lake Nona

2. Hunters Creek

3 Dr Phillips

4. Windermere.

5. Baldwin Park and Audubon Park

If someone can help me find something in my budget it will be much appreciated.

Hands down Dr Phillips, I swear half my neighbors are Indian, there are temples and nearby nice Indian grocery stores. Nice area, you should aim for Sand Lake Elem, Dr Phillips Elem, Bay Meadows Elem, Southwest Middle, Dr Phillips High. Check zillow for rentals around Dr Phillips Blvd and Wallace Rd

Enjoy!

I added more to my post, go to zillow and check... there are some 2-3 bedroom condos that usually go around 1350 to 1500, nice pool and community. They feel more like townhomes than condos which is nice. There are also townhomes along Wallace Rd and Dr Phillips Blvd that usually range from $1,300 to $1,700 for 2-3 bedrooms.

I’ve never been inside but I’ve driven past it a lot, it looks really nice and it has a central location. I’d double check the elementary school zone first though. Most likely it is Dr. Phillips Elem, but it could be Millenia Elem, which I wouldn’t recommend.

How many bedroom do you need? Finding 2 bedrooms for $1300 in a good area is a challenge, much less 3-bedrooms. 3 bedrooms usually start at $1500 and are often (even for apartments) starting at $1700.
