I have a conference coming up in a few weeks at the Orlando World Center Marriott.

I found an airb&b stay I really, really like. The one big problem is it is all the way up in Winter Park. Now, there are some definite things I like about staying up there versus down in the attractions area. But, how bad do you think the hike would be every day for a week from there to the Marriott Center, considering it is summer and traffic.

Worth it in my opinion.

Hour commute each way. Winter Park is a great area, but you'll need to decide if 2 hours in the car each day is worth it to you.

Depends on the time of the day, right now for example, it's only a 35 minute drive (11am friday)...

This would be a morning/evening commute, albeit during July.

This is just me but I'd rather stay at or near the Marriott and visit WP and other interesting areas at night or on the weekend when the traffic dies down.

I'm leaning towards staying closer, but everything down that way are resort condos. I wanted something more individual.

There are a lot of single family homes on airbnb near that area, take a look.
