I lived in Placid Woods subdivision next to Stonebrook for a couple of years... Moved in 2005. Is the area getting any worse? It seemed that there were more and more renters moving into the neighborhood and kinda trashing it up a bit.

Wonder if it got any better.

ok. cool. R u Asian? Yeah I'm Filipino. So it'll be cool to see other Filipinos. The only thing I was just hearing about was that it wasn't that safe according to the ratings. But apparently its fine as you said.

Just wondering....what areas should you avoid in Sanford? I've heard there are dangerous sections.

Here is a map of Sanford with the 3 differant areas in Red. The worst place to stay away from is the Middle one. Once you get to the left of 417 it becomes mostly middle class. Stonebrook is right next to 417.

My mom lives in the Pine Ridge Club, She's been there since the mid 80's and there has never been any problem's. It's quiet and everyone mind's there business, As for rental's there suppose to be screened by the board with a credit check done to prevent any so called "Rif/Raf. Oh I forgot to mention my mom is "81", still works. and sometimes get's home after dark. Yes she feel's safe there, I just got back from visting her, if she wasn't safe I'd have her back here with me in New York.l

yeah those areas in red are fairly ghetto, personally i would have thought the one on the right (just north of airport) is the worst ghetto in sanford. generally the closer to 14 you are the better sanford is in my opinion

You can also look for temporary housing on craigslist.

also, i read on greatschools.net, most of sanford's school are actually rated 8 or above out of 10. not so bad...
