Even without the Express Pass, the lines are manageable. I've gone through the entirety of IoA in one day with several rides being ridden 2 or 3 times, with kids in tow. The same cannot be said about MK at Disney.

Universal doesn't come close to being as "Magical" or even clean as Disney. They are very different when it comes to that. Universal feels like a nice theme park. Disney feels like a different world.
That being said, the fun and magic can only last so long when you're walking shoulder-to-shoulder with sweaty bodies in sweltering heat, and waiting 90+ minutes for a 2 minute ride.

The only time I'd see it being worth the price, as a local, would be if I, like BMW posted, had annual passes for me and my girlfriend, and I went for a few hours at a time, WITHOUT kids.
Universal Orlando has been my favorite amusement park, especially when they built the Islands of Adventure park. It's better than Disney on many fronts.

Sea World Orlando only got one visit from me and that was in the late 1990s. That says it all regarding my opinion of that place.

I don't ride rollercoasters or huge drop rides anymore and Universal Orlando still tops the charts for me.

Legoland is great for those with younger kids and a steal for their annual pass, esp if you get it half off during their black Friday sale.

Pretty much, right? But hey, for my friends in Montreal, Disney World and its resorts seems to be an equivalent to Europe, if not a preferred destination. To each their own.

Who said you did? I said I’ve been to Disneyland Paris and mentioned that I am also a French citizen.

Our kids haven’t shown much interest in Disney-specific characters thank goodness. We made sure to not push it out of some sort of sentimentality for what Disney used to be, but is no longer.
Just as happy watching random stuff on Netflix.
True, true, true, all true! Never have and never will waste my time there. Other options nearby too for much less. Disney is heavily overrated and I don't get the Disney thing either. There's no reason to be into all the Disney junk. I've read lots of bad reviews about the place. It's like a stay-cation in a big city (even your own). Could you put up with all the noise, shoving of merchandise in your face, etc?
