Hate it. 16 million raised so far (in all of the years since the tragedy), cost of both projects is 45 million, projected completion date 2022. I'm not sure how that math works, but I would think all of the people interested in donating to OnePulse already have. Give more money to the families of the victims, throw a few bucks at some LGBT groups, throw a few million towards anti-terrorism and anti-hate groups, and call it a day.

LOL. And this, just when I thought downtown development was finally beginning to make sense.

It looks like a death trap. How are tourists supposed to exit in a fire.

They want to fill downtown with ugly stuff now. They put the Orlando Eye there and it looks terrible.

Orlando Eye isn't downtown though. It's on I-Drive, and I think it's a perfect representation of that particular area: Massive gimmicky junk to lure tourists.

Downtown is doing fine in most aspects, with the new UCF campus, Thornton Park/Eola developments, and the new entertainment district coming up. AND SODO, for the most part, is a nice extension of downtown. This is just hideous.

It was the best they could come up with.

Why be reminded of this tragedy? It's depressing.

Does the Pulse Nightclub tragedy really need a memorial on par with the 9/11 memorial? I hate to be "that guy," but isn't this is a bit over the top (to put it mildly)? Not to mention it's an eyesore.

I actually really like the design, but I bet it will be dumbed down when it gets built. This looks more like something you'd see in LA or NYC or DC.

Or maybe somewhere more fitting, like downtown or North of downtown going towards FL Hospital/Winter Park area... It's going to look very weird in SoDo...
