Right now in the congested South Florida corridor, their top speed is 79 currently.
While I am grateful and happy that this is being built (I will be using it, as the turnpike from Orlando to Miami is a nightmare) does anyone know what the deal with these speeds is? There should be few to no crossings between Orlando and Brevard, and similarly, between Brevard and WP...

I’ll save my complaints for when I do try it, if there are any at that point. I do love train travel, so hopefully this proves useful and economic enough for me to use frequently.

I think 125 mph is good for America. The track from West Palm Beach to Miami has a ton of crossings, so that's probably one of the reasons why they didn't bother going to a bullet train. It was one of the nicest HSR I've been on.

3 hours from OIA to MIA. That's worth it.
