This is supposed to be on 20 acres at the Sunrail station - but it sounds like the city is going to do whatever it can to make the project less viable

It's probably the developer trying to hit back by sending out press releases/lobbying local media.

That isn't the same project, and that article is from last year.

Is it still going to be by the Sunrail station? It should... I want to see Sunrail succeed.

You sure? DeBary Main Street, at the train station, sounds like exactly the same project.

https://debary.org/growth/project/debary-main-street

But yeah, I know it's from last year. That was the point. The project has been delayed and it sounds like it's been watered down.

I'm positive that's not the same project. I live in DeBary. DeBary Main Street will be directly across the street North of Sunrail on the West side of 17-92. The project in the article you posted is on the the East side of 17-92 down the street a little bit from Sunrail. So far for the project in that article has a high end apartment complex called Integra 289 Exchange that has been built. The developer was forced by the city to scale down the number of apartments so that stuff other than apartments could be built on the vacant land next to it like originally planned. So far I haven't seen any further construction, on the vacant land, but there's a "coming soon" sign that appears to show a walkable area retail, restaurants and other things.

Don't worry, the new yorkers will be there soon to drive up housing prices with their high pensions and bring their new york politics with them to turn it into the very place they fled for good reasons.
