Hello, Im Ken and i use to live in Orlando about 2 and a half years ago for about 3 years so i know the area. My question is im currently in school to become a Nuclear Med Tech / Diagnostic imaging / Etc;I would like to know if these Job pay enough to warrant moning back and being able to live good. My wife is a teacher so there will be 2 incomes and we also have 2 children.

Here in valdosta ga its nice but being originally from Chicago the country is starting to get to me currently i have a new home in a sub division thats 3010 sqft total and 2200 heated on .90acres for $199k. Now i know that i wont get that in the orlando area but as for sqft i dont want to go smaller and i wont want to be able to smell the people next door if you get what i mean.

I hear the prices have shot up and the insurance is out of this world. will this job along with my wife salary afford us to live and save $$$

The reason we moved was because we were not prepared to move there and struggled and at the rate we were going we would have never been able to afford a house of any size and type

OK~my vote was "Does your wife know you're asking this question?" Why are you considering moving back to Orlando? Were you happier here then you are in VAldosta? You have a good education and your wife has a decent income. Have you checked out the demand for employees in your field in Orlando? Would you be willing to do work that you're over qualified for if you didn't get a job in your field right away? Could you settle for a smaller house? I'd say that if you like the Orlando area and you were happy here and you miss it, definitely move back to there. Life is too short to not live where you're happy.
