Hey! I've learned so much on these boards. Thanks in advance for any help you'll be able to give me on my question!

We're more than likely moving to the Orlando area in the near future. We are looking at some of the new developments behind the Magic Kingdom, particularly Thornhill. We are impressed with the builder, and the subdivision has energy efficient homes going in with several green features.

My husband will work at various places around Orlando---he'll rotate through several locations. Primarily he'll be in Hunter's Creek, but could also work in Windermere, Waterford Lakes, Altamonte Springs, and occasionally Sanford. Since his job will take him to all parts of the city, we thought our house should be in an area we want to LIVE in, since no matter where we live, there will be commutes.

So, just wondering if anyone has any insight into the area behind the Magic Kingdom. Or on the builder Ashton Woods Homes. We aren't too awfully concerned about the school system as we homeschool, but of course, we don't want to be in the worst school system in case we ever want to sell.

And, one last question, from the Reams Road area (behind the MK) how long will it take me to get to the brand spankin' new Whole Foods at the corner of Sand Lake and Turkey Lake Roads?

Thanks again!!!

I am very familiar with ashton woods homes, and i really like the quality of their homes personally. since your husband will be traveling all over central florida, i feel you should spend sometime in the areas you are considering because just like anywhere, each city or community in the central florida area has it's own "feel". i think it is wonderful that you are home schooling by the way! and schools here are rated in florida by f.c.a.t. scores, and that's always good research to find out the schools rating! if you need some links for schools let me know!
