I found a job as a "contract worker" counseling children in Elementary sch. The schedule is very flexible. I am also trying to find something with offering health benefits and @ least a 401k.

In response to your question, I checked the Orange County PD office as you suggested and all they had available were positions for "entry level" attorneys. My background is mental health and developmental disabilities.

i thought mental health counseling was a very in demand job? are u a LMHC? i read somewhere that more people were seeking masters level therapists for counseling as opposed to phd pyschologists due to their lower cost and similar abilities to do cognitive based therapy. maybe look outside orlando...also, i think u can start your own practice after 2years experience in the field with an LMHC

It is in demand but most agencies in the state of FL requires a license and you can only obtain a license with a degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family, Psy. etc. Even though my work history background is over ridden with counseling history, many FL employers wont look at me because my degrees are in HS. I would like to take the 5 required classes to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analysist exam but I cannot do so until I find another job.
