Hello all,
Jacksonville poster here. My son is a student at UCF and called today to tell us the used (1999 Infiniti G20) we bought him a couple of weeks ago will not start.

Does anyone have a mechanic recommendation. I did a search and read some postive reviews about Orlando Import Auto Mechanics (not the exact name) at 1228 W. 29th St. It will be a bit of a distance to tow the car, but if they are mechanics that are good, honest, and reasonably-priced, then it would be worth towing the long distance. I also read good reviews for MechanicPlus in Casselberry.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a mechanic and an auto towing company?

A good affordable place near UCF and that I always take my cars to is JV Auto Center at 9903 East Colonial Drive, Orlando FL 32817. Their phone number is 407-207-6967

you might get a AAA membership it has towing benefits and may provide other services in addition to saving on a tow.

Before spending the money on a mechanic, will it start with a jumpstart? If so, it's the battery which is something he can replace himself.

The lights and radio still work. He tried jumpstarting it and it didn't work.

We got him a AAA membership, so they will pay for a 5 mile tow, and we will pay additional per mile over 5 miles.

Thanks for the responses. I wasn't sure about the numbered streets comment.

I have used Oriental Motors for the last 5 years.
All my family and friends use them...
One of my friends have been using them for at least 10 years.
Great service and price, it is a small humble place.

Orlando is the owner.

Most of us at UCF use the same mechanic. The number is 407-405-2391 and the site is www.mobileoval.com - Orlando's Best Auto Repair shop! HHO parts and HHO generators are here!.
They specialize in Ford's but none of us drive Ford's and he fixes them as well as any shop in town.
