Colorado Springs, CO or Santa Fe, NM. The winters get cold in Santa Fe as it's a high desert.

Pittsburgh, Pa: Pittsburgh Hotels, Attractions & Vacation Packages : Pittsburgh PA CVB

Good luck on finding your new home.
I would say...watch out here in PA....looking up the unemployment figures...we have folks coming here to Boeing in Philly because they cannot find work in Pittsburg...I found this article (engineers in particular)

kdka.com - Pittsburgh-Area Unemployment Rate Lower Than National (http://kdka.com/business/Pittsburgh.unemployement.rate.2.859328.html - broken link)

It seems the unemployment numbers in Pittsburgh may yet be a little misleading due to some major construction they have going on that will soon end, thus ending their good unemployment numbers. I hope that is not the case, but...just something to keep in mind in your search. Good luck in your search!

This is a big beautiful country with soooo much to offer! I wish you patience and wisdom in your journey and fun and excitement on your adventure! Remember, your life is what YOU choose to make of it, no matter where you live! Choose your paradise - and make it so!!

Compared to Orlando Pittsburgh is doing great and lets not even discuss the wages.

That's where I'm headed once the house sells. The only thing is they really don't get snow there and the summers are hot and humid. (but I heard if you're comming from FL, it's nothing) I think I'd chose Ashland VA if you're thinking outside Richmond. Another nice places are Johnson City TN, Charlottesville VA, or Roanoke VA. Just for fun try this website, it helps alot: Find your spot dot com Good luck!

I've been to Colorado quite a bit.

I'd highly recommend living in Boulder. I won't go into detail, you can research the city yourself, but it's a great area. Beautiful mountains, snowy winters, warm summers, very nice city, close to Denver, hiking galore etc.

I can't wait! Beach and mountains both close-by! You get the best of both worlds! I still like FL though, so I'll vacation there. Are you in FL or NC?

Yes...but compare wages to cost of living as well - higher...and crime is not great either., and lets not even consider that football team...LOL!!

...I was just throwing that in there as a point of consideration...that it LOOKS better because the construction index is not included .....YET...so it may be similar.... I don't know for sure. One needs to consider what your business field is for an accurate discussion of the point
