I plan on hitting the parks beginning in the morning on Dec 31st. I am a Disney Veteran but am concerned because of a past experience. I want to go to MK around dinner time and stay until closing.

One time in the past, I was turned away because the park was "full"...I had a multiday ticket so although I was shocked/ pissed, I did have the opportunity to come back...this time I am buying a one day hopper so I'm a bit stressed about it, but MK is where I want to be.

Does anyone know of people being turned away on New Years Eve?

Thanks and Merry Christmas

I don't really know. I would suggest checking out the DIS forums, they could tell you for sure there. I would imagine it's a big possibility because that's pretty much the busiest day of the year along with Christmas and Thanksgiving. I will go and check DIS for you now and let you know what I find

Okay, I started a thread over on the disney boards and here is a quote ~

"Yes.. it reaches capacity usually early in the morning.. mostly all of the parks do.. you pretty much have to get there early in the morning and plan to be there well into the night..."

So yes, you won't be able to get in in the evening. You may just want to go really early.

Have fun!

That is one of MK's busiest days of the year. Ideally you want to get there for park opening, unless your staying in a disney resort and if they have extra magic hours in the morning i would get there for that aswell.

I have heard that the parks have done well but not reached capacity since 9-11, but I would look for proof to substantiate that.

I was there last year and got there at about 5pm - wasn't turned away although it was so crowded it wasn't fun at all. Disney has been having record years for attendance, however I think this year they are down by about 8%. As an alternative, Boardwalk is having an 80s/90s themed party for $20. I am thinking of going there instead.
