Does anyone have suggestions on efficiencies in the area that rent month to month? I know about the Extended stay hotels, but they are too pricey. I've checked craigslist too. I'm looking for something around less than $800 a month with a kitchen and furnished. I don't want to share somebody's house either. I have 2 dogs under 30 pounds also. I know it will be tough, but if anyone has any ideas, let me know.

Does anyone know the name or number of the new hotel in Sanford that is on 17/92? They are advertising weekly rates at $209.

I am curious about this also. I moved to out of state and missed the kids at Christmas. I need somewhere to stay next year. Preferrably a two bedroom, one with a king bed. I have a small dog also. I know there is a place right behind the Altamonte Mall, I think on Central Parkway, but I do not know the name of it. I think they have rentals on weekly basis. Might someone know the name???

Studio 6 (part of the Motel 6 chain) in Kissimmee on Irlo Bronson is $200 a week. Although I don't like Kissimmee, the hotel has just been remodeled and is actually really nice. My husband and I stayed there for a few weeks and were comfortable. It has a nice little kitchen and the showers were clean and new. We were impressed.

I think a lot of families actually live in these studios - we woud see kids getting off of the school bus and going into the rooms.

For a change of scenery, we would hang out in Celebration --walk around the lake, get coffee, etc. It is very close to the hotel and a nice diversion.

Oh, and pets are fine, too. We have 3 cats and there were lots of dogs on the property.

Oops, I just noticed that you mentioned specific areas...but this is an idea if you really need it!

My sister ended up getting a place at LaQuinta in Lake Mary. We were able to talk them down to $38 a night. (normally $89-$99) It was a little more than what she wanted to spend, but she wanted to be close. The dogs were not an issue at all, no charge.
