Anyway, this survey is in no way representative of the 300+ Million people that live in the U.S.

Um - you do understand that this is a poll and not a census, right? lol. Look up Gallop Polls and see how they are done.

Why did I just respond to this?

I'm guessing if that was directed at me it was your way of avoiding my question while taking a shot at me at the same time.

Its a nice place to visit but being fourth ranked surprises me. I guess the positives would be the year round sunshine and heat, proximity to the ocean. Also, it is relatively affordable compared to cities in the Northeast. The biggest drawback for me is the transportation isues. Orlando is SO spread out it takes forever to get from point A to point B, the traffic is bad for a city/metro of its size, and very rude + dangerous drivers reside in Orlando too.

Could that be related to the high foreclosure rate, and therefore availability of foreclosure homes, short sales, and other below-market property down here relative to the rest of the nation?

But if that activity increases property sales and value, then good for those who are putting up their For Sale signs in the near future. Then with this next wave of migrants coming in, just wait about 5-10 years til the next turnover cycle, ergo, the transient population of central Florida. The only ones getting rich out of all this are the real estate agents, lawyers, insurance companies (auto and property), and the occasional theme parks offering FL resident packages.

I apologize for taking you out of context. I'm glad you love Chicago as much as I do. Too bad I don't share the same sentiment you have about Orlando, though.

Everything I've read that you posted about Orlando is a simple yet, sensible, unbiased observation, which happens to be in line with my humble opinion .
