Hello,

I am in need of advise. I would like to know the best towns to live in based on the following criteria... and in order of importance

1. Great schools - the best in the area (my kids are 3 and 5)
2. Safe neighborhoods - low crime rates
3. 30 minutes from airport
4. near jewish community center/synagogues
5. not too close to congestion of the tourists

Price range of $350,000 - $450,000

Thanks, please be very candid and honest, I appreciate the help.

If you stay east of I-4 and north of Sand Lake Road, you will be within the 30 minutes of the airport and away from the tourist corridor. I would suggest Lake Nona, Belle Isle/Conway, any of the areas in the heart of the city (Thornton Park, Delaney Park, Colonialtown, Winter Park, Maitland). The only thing I am unsure of is where there is a Jewish center or synagogue, but I am sure someone will be able to offer a suggestion. The schools in the Boone and Winter Park district are solid, and Lake Nona should be getting a high school soon.

Maitland, Longwood and Altamonte Springs are closest to JCC. Largest Conservative synagogue is building + planning move next to JCC Campus. Large Reform synagogue seems to be staying in Orando I-4 Exit 88 area.

Lots of Jewish families in: Longwood, Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, Winter Park, Maitland.
Some elem. public schools I have heard are excellent: Dommerich (Maitland), Sabal Pt (Longwood)...my kids were older than elem when we moved here so I don't know so much about this. The best public schools here are not as good as the best public schools in the northeast or midwest. Not even close.
