I am looking to purchase a house. I lived in Apopka for 7 years close to Wekiva area. I have been out of the country for the last year and would like to return. I have found house that I like in Sanford. It's located on Avocado Ave., between first and second street. Is that an OK area. I realize its not highly desirable area and I haven't any children so schools aren't an issue to me. I just want to make sure it is diverse area and not super ghetto. LOL I would apprecate anyone's insight.

Sorry, that's not a desirable area. I don't want to offend anyone, so I won't say more. If you want to live in downtown Sanford, you need to be on the east side of 17/92 and west side of S Sanford Ave.
