Exactly. I am in a relationship but do not have kids. I do not think from the same perspective as a parent would, but I like Dr Phillips, College Park and Winter Park the most of all of the areas in Orlando but I can see the advantage and lifestyle of a place like Lake Mary, Lake Nona or Oviedo. They are different and I think that is the biggest distinction between Lake Mary and Dr Phillips. Dr Phillips is more urban and closer to attractions and amenities, but Lake Mary is no podunk locale either. It has the advantage of being quiter, safer, more isolated, and having better school reputations.

Kids are not in the future for me. Nothing biological, I just do not want them and since they require so much love, time and money why have kids if you can't provide them the best. Sometimes having kids is the thing to do when you are in a relationship and I do not succumb to that mentality. I already think Conway is far enough from downtown and Winter Park, so if I move it will be to one of the areas I mentioned: College Park, Winter Park, Delaney Park, Maitland. Dr. Phillips is great, but I find it a tad pretentious and it feels a little more like South Florida than Orlando to me. The areas I mentioned feel more like Orlando to me and have better trees. All my own opinion of course, and a long explanation for a simple tease but that is my thoughts

Sounds good! that might all change in a few years anyway...who knows how the area around the 535 will turn out. For example Hunters Creek was great 10yrs ago but it is not what it was now...who knows where the next best area is!

Lake Mary hands down. Dr Phillips is too busy to be comfortable.

Again preference. Some people like this stimulation and this is something the OP should consider. I am 25 and like the stimulation, but dependent on his or her age and preference Lake Mary may be a much better fit.
