Question du jour - how come the sunshine state has so many cities with the word winter and so far i haven't seen any with the word summer?

Winter Park, Winter Haven, Winter Garden, Winter Springs, etc. are all in the Orlando area and were all named because they were places for people from up north to vacation or relocate to in the harsh northern winters since the winter is much milder here in Florida. They became off season "winter havens" for these people.

There are not a lot of municipalities named "summer" anything but there are several street names that include "sunshine", "summer", etc. The most obvious that jumps out at me is Summerport Village in the Windermere area.

There's a Sunrise Florida down south but it's a fairly new community.
