I live in Los Angeles now and have a place I am staying when in Orlando, FL. My car registration is up in LA in June and I need to get it registered in Orange County, Orlando, FL. The only thing is that I won't have my car with me in person to do so. Can I still register my car and get my drivers license without having my car with me. I will not be driving it to Florida until a few months from now. I am trying to avoid a double registration of CA and FL - twice in one year. Can someone help me answer this? Thanks!

Nope, they required that I bring the car in the first time I registered it when I moved to FL. After that you can renew by mail or online.

No, I had to have my vehicle present when doing initial registration in Florida. They have to come out and view the vehicle.

You have to have the vehicle present for viewing for the initial registration.
