Weddings at the Chalet Suzanne Restaurant & Inn - Lake Wales, FL

I looked around this place a while back (not for a wedding) and it looked really interesting. I remember the lady that showed us some of the rooms said they had a special where if you had a wedding they would throw in the wedding suite for free sounded interesting. It's not the fanciest place but it has history and a decent price.

Sorry about the Cypress Grove idea. I had no idea the prices went up so much since we looked at it. Of course that was a million years ago.

Lake Eola in downtown Orlando hosts weddings. I couldn't get a price for you but it might be worth looking into.

You could check Dubsdread Country Club, because they have both inside and outside, in case the weather doesn't cooperate. They say that can do a "quick change" (move inside) if the weather changes. It's a really old, but not exclusive country on Par Avenue in Orlando.

Thanks for the idea but their packages start at $7711 so that is for sure a no go.

I'm thinking I'm in the wrong business and need to open a wedding venue - lol
I was married at Cypress Grove in June 2006. I don't remember how much it cost, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't anything near $7k! Maybe $1-2k?? I know we wouldn't have paid anything more than that. The outdoor setting was wonderful. That's a shame that they are charging so much now. Who can afford that price? It's not worth it because the indoor space is pretty small.

We also looked at a place in Lake County called Mission Inn. It's in Howey-in-the-Hills. I can't find any pricing on their website, but they do have some nice outdoor areas (with fountains, etc.)

You should still check out Cypress grove...my friend had hers there and she spent under 2k...they must offer different packages...she actually did most of the stuff on her own and it was beautiful!

Off the top of my head, they have 2 very nice places. One is the community center in Lake Mary and the other is a Victorian house in Longwood. You can call the city to find more out.
