Hello all and thanks to anyone who can help. As many before me have probably discovered, trying to find and apartment with my German Shepard is somewhat insane. He's apparently not full bread (my vet thinks he is a mix), although that is a hard sell. Honestly, I've had several of these dogs (even some full breads) and none of them have ever been "aggressive". The last time I rented an apartment, 8 years ago, it was simply a matter of finding an apartment that took big dogs. Apparently now most apartment complexes have a "aggressive breed" list. This puts me in a bit of a bind.

The house I am renting in Williamsburg is now being sold, so I have just weeks to find a new home for me and my buddy. Sifting through the multitudes of apartments & home listings is a task in and of itself. I've looked through all the websites I could find. I am sifting through pet pages, rent.com, etc, etc, etc. I have even met with a rental agency. I have a list of the few places I can get in, but wow...not good areas! I would like to avoid that, if I can. So, is there anyone out there who can give me some direction? Anyone know of an apartment complex that will take any ol' dog that isn't smack in the middle of a high crime area? Apartments, condos, townhouses, anything in a decent area. Thanks for reading and a special thanks to anyone who can help with some advice. - KupaKia
