I have been there other times of the year. Yes you get some reprieve from the humidity in the winter months. But on AVERAGE, yes you have higher humidity. Don't take my word for it, look up the data. It doesn't lie.

I never said I disliked Orlando. Go back and read my original response. I said it's a nice city. I wouldn't mind living there again. The OP asked which is better. If you think Orlando has more to do, that's your perspective. As someone who has actually lived in both cities, and others in Florida, I gave him my perspective.

It's great to know people have such pride in their cities! LOL

Hey guys lets try to keep this respectful of each other, I'm seeing the attitude slowly decline as people take things personally.

Right, Tampa has way less humidity than Orlando. Here is the data on average humidity. Looks like it only matters when you walk outside.

Wow. I disagree with your assessment of the two cities. Tampa more spread out than Orlando? No way. In fact, my biggest complaint about Orlando is how spread out everything is. It seems to take forever to get anywhere and if I had the money I'd buy a helicopter to get to and from work. The population density of Orlando is very low for a "city". Many suburbs throughout the country are more densely populated. Another, I don't think Orlando has any city feel...more of a suburbia feel. Tampa is more industrial and run down and to me, feels more like a city.

I agree with you as well. Tampa is grittier but laid out better. Orlando is filled with very random windy roads and development and open lots and fields all over the place. I know some of the blame for this is the random lakes and wetlands all over the place, but at the same time it can be attributed to bad urban planning and greedy developers as well. There are some parts of Orlando that are very urban feeling to me, like the stretch of Orange north of downtown to Winter Park, College Park and Thornton Park feel like little urban enclave like neighborhoods, but there are vast stretches that just feel like flat out suburbia like almost all of South and East Orlando.

Tampa is very southern and ghetto, you'll be better off in Orlando personally.
