My husband & I are beginning to scout out 55+ communities...I'm a little overwhelmed by so many and what they all seem to offer. We know we want to have fun when we move from NY. We'd like to find something less than 200,000, and since we are 58, we'd like to find a group around our age.

Hi,
I would check out Summit Greens and I think the other is called Kings Ridge. They are both in Clermont, Florida. I have always heard wonderful things about both places. I am not 55+ but have friends who are and live there. Good Luck!

Check out Solivita - a lot more amenities then the other communities but not as many stores in the immediate area.

I am very interested in a new active adult development being built by Lennar in Clermont near their Kings Ridge community.Lennar has a few successful developments in the area and this one has starting prices of about $180,000 for well equipped homes. Has anyone visited there and toured the models?

The villages is known for being an active lifestyle 55 plus community. Its like its own 55 plus town. there is a ton to do for everyone. Even for the grandkids.
