Well, thanks to Annerk and others, Clermont has piqued my interest. We may be going down for vacation this fall and I was hoping to get some names of the nicer (safer, family friendly) neighborhoods in Clermont. I did a search and saw Legends (but that may be out of our price range). Currently in NC here our rent is $1350/month. Thinking positively that if we ever do move and get similar jobs (me paralegal - husband, low-voltage installation technician in the health care industry) we could afford the same amount of rent (of course we wouldn't mind paying less ). At any rate, just hoping to get some names to Google now and maybe visit later.

Thanks again in advance!

Heather

To rent or to buy? A single family home or an apartment? (Or a townhouse/condo?)

Sorry - we would be renting. A house would be nice as we have a dog unless there is such a thing as townhouses there with fenced yards(?). We wouldn't need anything too big right way either. There's me, husband and (now) 7 year old son, so we would be fine in anything from 1300+ to 1600 sq.ft. or so.

Thanks again.

We are building a new home in Verde Ridge in Clermont. We had been looking for rental houses for months. Our mortgage payments turned out to be lower than renting would be on a 180k home. We needed a fenced in yard for our two big dogs as well and renting a house that would take our dogs was around $1400 a month. Our mortgage including prop taxes and HOA will be $1390. Just a thought...check into it. Nice new neighborhood.

Also note it is VERY hard to find a rental house that accepts pets...esp large ones. Most places have a 30lb weight restriction.

Susan's Landing
Legends
Osprey Pointe
Hartwood Pines
Crescent Lake Club
Sunburst
Regency Hills
The Hills of Clermont (not to be confused with Greater Hills)
Clermont Yacht Club (townhomes)
Crescent Bay
The Overlook at Lake Louisa

That's a good starting point.
