The Collina Plaza is a no go for now. The parcels of land are actually back up for sale. We'll see what happens there. As for recreation, the lakes are enjoyable, the trail for biking, running, roller blading, etc...basketball courts, tennis courts, park pals for the kids, hancock park has large soccer fields and playgrounds.

Feeling a little defensive, Annerk? If you consider Clermont to be a worthwhile place to live then stay there. But as a father of 2 young children I knew it was time to get the hell out. Everything I stated about Clermont is true. There are a few exceptions as far as the house quality is concerned but MOST of the houses in Clermont have been built in the last ten years and ARE crappy stucco boxes. If you need to pretend that Clermont is a great place to live just to make yourself feel better about being there then go ahead. it's just irresponsible to paint an innacurate picture of the place to potential future residents. Maybe you just have low standards.

You are the one who is obviously both bitter and very ill-informed.

May I ask what area you relocated to and why you feel it is a better location?
I do not live in Clermont but am currently looking at various locations in central FL.

So tell me, which subs have over 1000 homes? You can't even back up your lies.

I moved to North Georgia. I wouldn't want to be anywhere in Florida. It's far too overcrowded and is definately not the place to be in "America 2050". I'm pretty familiar with the state and really can't think of any place that I'd consider livable.

North Georgia sounds boring.

My favorite area is the Windermere/Winter Garden area. I love the close proximity to DW and the really "Classy" new Shopping mall on 535 and 429 exit.

No Ann....believe it or not I can't remember the names of sub divisions in a town I live in 3 YEARS AGO!! I'll tell you what.....why don't you go to the top of the Citrus Tower and look in all directions. You'll see nothing but a sea of roofs. If you consider being surrounded by a zillion cookie-cutter, low-middle class houses living then enjoy. You can keep Clermont. I made 120 thousand tax free dollars on my Clermont house by dumping it at the right time while a Moderator cut: PERSONAL ATTACKdumbass like you rode the housing bubble to it's peak and then slid right back down the other side. Hey maybe you even bought at the peak of the bubble and are now trying to justify your poorly thought out purchase (???) Were you the sucker that bought my crap shack house??? Anyone doubting my claim that Clermont is wall to wall subdivisions can simply go to Google Earth and take a look at the place from a satellite view. At least Clemont has nice bike trails...I'll give you that. Enjoy the sprawl.
