I have 13 years experience as a legal secretary (now in a paralegal position and all NC law though have dealt with some Federal) though do not have a degree nor am I certified. I was wondering if anyone knew the average wages for this field in the Orlando/surrounding areas or could point me to somewhere with some figures. (I have family law, insurance defense, litigation, corporate, experience etc. - no criminal, traffic, SS law or immigration - though I'm sure I could learn).

I assume that actually working in Orlando would pay more than the smaller communities (though every ad for Orlando I've seen requires the job seeker to speak english and spanish which obviously english I can do, spanish...not so much (or at all). I'm hoping that if the wages are lower than here in the Raleigh area that maybe not having state taxes like NC does, would compensate for that to some extent.

Any insight would be great. Thanks!

P.S. Sorry if it sounded like I was posting my resume, just trying to get a feel for the area.

Yeah, except that I don't have experience in those areas but do the other.

Thanks for your input!
