Jacksonville Jags play in Orlando: Wayne Weaver, owner of the Jags, says his team is likely to play games in Orlando soon -- OrlandoSentinel.com

I think the Jags will be better supported here than in Jacksonville. Orlandos metro population is 2.1 million and Jacksonville's is 1.3 million. And i would say Orlando is very football hungry, High school and college football (ucf and uf) is huge here, so many people from orlando travel two hours just to attend uf games.

Wow, that would be awesome!! After the Magic put themselves on the radar with making it to the Finals, Orlando is finally getting some recognition in the sports world. Wayne Weaver if you're reading this it will be the best move for your team!!! Bring them HERE PLEASE!!!!!!

Yes, that is just what the NFL wants a football team in Parramore to improve the leagues image. The Citrus Bowl is so disgusting birds don't fly over it. Dream on!!!

the citrus bowl would have to under go a renovation if this ever happens, but the city has already been planning a renovation for it. so that wont be an issue

I just heard this on the radio. I think it is very positive news for the area and know that once they make the move we will be more supportive of the team than JAX is.

I think it would be awesome even if they just shared a couple games with Orlando like they are currently discussing. That would be a great move to expand their fanbase into a territory currently split by Dolphins, Bucs, and Jags fans. I'm a Dolphins fan, but I would pay to see a Jags game for sure since there are no other football options here. Now Dolphins - Jags, or Bucs - Jags?...HUGE $$$.

However, if they moved here they would probably have the same problem they do in Jax. Once people actually get the team then they get bored when they aren't winning and lose interest.

The location in Parramore also means nothing. There are tons of stadiums in ghettos in the US...the problem is the stadium is just not up to NFL spec and that would be a requirement.

yep huge dollars in a non-sports town in a stadium that should have been blown down years ago in an area that should have been blown over years ago, with a team that has little hope.

There are plenty of football fans here to support a couple games a year and sell out those games, especially against other Florida teams. Florida is crazy about football, Orlando included. However, I don't think Orlando could support a pro team. It's just too transient here and there is not enough wealth. The Magic are well supported, but the NBA is better suited to a city Orlando's size.
