Moving to Ocoee from KS and just found out State Farm doesn't write new home poicies themselves but rather through Citizens Property which I was told is actually the state.

For auto insurance, I've been using Progressive and they have had the best rates and very good service. While they do not offer home owners insurance in FL, they seem to have a discount for everything and even when I compare them to some other agency where I combine auto and home, Progressive is still cheaper.

For both auto and home insurance I advise state fund insurance. They compared quotes for my place with companies like travelers (who I am currently with) and firemans fund etc. I moved from out of town as well and they took care of exactly what I asked for - their website is statefundins.com There quite speedy with getting back to you and I personally have an outstanding customer rep! I highly advise dropping them a line! - hope this helps
