Is anyone familiar with this complex? I'm thinking about the 1/1 first floor apartment there.

It's been difficult finding a decent place in Altamonte for the $500-650 price range.

I moved out of Tiffany Oaks five months ago because of serious maintenance issues which led to a massive bug problem. They also gave me an eviction notice two weeks after I moved in because they said I didn't pay my rent... We found out my check was "misplaced" by the leasing consultant, I forget her name, but shes the one with the blond hair. She's absolutely incompetent. Rick, the property manager is just like most... a douche. He's a really nice guy, very informative and helpful, until you sign the lease. Just like any other apartment company I've been to, they just want your money. (and my wife and I must have toured 100 by now...) The bug problem we had was horrible but the bottom line was rent. We paid $980.00 a month for a 2/2. (outrageous) We moved like six miles up I4, to much quieter Lake Mary into a place called Pebble Creek, 2/2 apartment for $685.00 a month... You can do the math...

Now I'm not sure about your work or how close to whatever you need to be... but living in Lake Mary in comparison to Altamonte is hands down, 1000% better. You have pretty much the same amenities here without the unbelievably congested 436. I mean, there's like 520 stop lights 434 to Maitland Ave and especially around that damn mall. (right across the street from Tiffany Oaks)

So I'm obviously going to say DO NOT live in Tiffany Oaks, and I wouldn't even live in Altamonte again. It's a nice place to be for shopping or a few restaurants around there but I hated it. Traffic is unbelievable on 436 and 434, so Lake Mary is just far north enough to be relatively quiet and still have the same and even more amenities and much nicer surroundings.

If ya happen to have any more questions... feel free, and definitely check out Pebble Creek Apartments. They're far better than Tiffany Oaks for the money!

I'm sorry to hear that. I really liked the layout for their 1/1 apartment. I'm visiting a bunch of other complexes in the area this weekend though, so cross my fingers.

I liked the Lake Mary area, but it may be a little far from work for me. Pebble Creek may be out of my price range, but I'll check it out.

Thanks for your reply!

And any tips from other posters would be appreciated as well!

The massive bug problem at Tiffany Oaks has been around for years. No matter how many times I had their pest control there, the bugs kept coming. Then I got some smart ass remark about how I need to get used to bugs if I live in FL. I simply replied that I have lived here for years and no place ever asked me to sleep with bugs! I moved out of there many years ago.
You can check near 434. To be honest, Lake Mary is only a hop, skip and a stone toss from Altamonte.
