We are looking to re-locate to the Orlando area as my husband has some job opportunities there. We have 3 kids, so were looking for an area with decent schools and kid friendly activities within about 15-20 miles of our new home (not too rural). I also have some horses and am looking for an area where we can get 5-20 acres to keep them at home. I know Ocala is a horsey area-but I also want a decent area that is family friendly (not just horse farms). We would like to be within about 50 miles of Orlando, preferably somewhere where we can find some reasonably "dry" land.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Unincorporated Lake County in the area between Clermont and Tavares is exactly what you are looking for. Good schools, rolling hils, horse country, and less than an hour to the airport.

There are two homes on 561 that have stables that are for sale.

Yep, try Lake County. Some places include Sorrento, Mt Plymouth, and Eustis.

I live in St Cloud near Narcoosee Road and it's a good mix of farms and new developments. In this area of Osceola County, schools are good (and new) and prices for homes are cheap! Just take a drive down Narcoosee Road from 417 and you will see plenty of homes and developments for sale.

Can anyone tell me about Village at Black Bear golf community. I was up that way recently and find the area just right for what i'm looking for (retirement home). Found the house prices in VBBGC to be very good.

Any Info ??

Bob
