Hello, I will be moving to Orlando with my family. We are in our late 20s and have one daughter. We will be looking for a single family home in the $300-350 range with at least 4 bedrooms. We want to have a nice home and still be close to Florida Hospital where I will be working.

We have traveled to Orlando plenty of times, but mainly to Disney World. I don't want to live around that area since it's a bit too far of a drive for me to the hospital. We were looking at some Toll Brother homes and really like their style especially the tile roof. Any help would be very appreciative. My daughter will be 5 when we move.

Most important things to us is a beautiful home around things to do (not just in the middle of nowhere) and within 30min or so of the Florida Hospital in Orlando.

I'm assuming you mean the main Florida Hospital location in downtown Orlando? Winter Park, College Park, Thornton Park, and Audubon Park are all beautiful neighborhoods located close to your work place. All are very close to the action of downtown Orlando. These areas tend to have older homes mixed with newer homes, but you will find the tile roof style (it's very prominent everywhere in Orlando).
If you are willing to go a little farther out, Dr. Phillips will still be within 30 minutes of the downtown Florida Hospital (traffic permitting). You will find newer subdivisions there with the style you like. It's a wonderful area.

Yea, we are looking for a new home that we can build and choose what we want. 30min give or take for driving is just fine. Any good golf communities in the area as well that anyone knows about would be another thing we are thinking about.

If you are looking to build, you will most likely be beyond the 30 minute drive.
(With traffic.)

Tell us some more of what you are wanting?

Where are you coming from?

types of communities that appeal to you? (Older neighborhood /homes / new subdivisions / golf community)

Public/private/religious school?

Agreed with Qdog, most of the newer communities where you can build to your own liking are farther than 30 minutes away. Closest ones I can think of would be in Apopka off the 429 or Maitland blvd expressway.

Toll Brothers have some very good deals on right now but there are other options for you to look at. When are you thinking of moving ?

K Hovnanian is building a few new homes in Winder Oaks, west of I-4 just off Conroy-Windermere. Just check their website. Schools are relatively good, close to all the attractions, and should be reasonable commute to work. All within your price range!
