Hi.
I'm planning a short stay in Florida in April. I have a wedding to attend in Fort Lauderdale (don't know the exact area yet). I thought we would maximize our stay by making it a Walt Disney World vacation with a wedding detour.
So my question is: What's the transportation like from Orlando (Walt Disney World area) to Fort Lauderdale? We don't drive so we can't rent a car. I have realized that these cities are about 4 hours away. What are our options?

Thanks in advance.

You should be able to get a flight or bus there.

There is a shuttle service that will take you from the Fort Lauderdale airport to someplace on I-Drive. (You'll have to Google it, I can't recall the name of it.) From there you can grab a cab to Disney World. I'd suggest staying right on Disney property if you won't have transportation.

I'm with annerk on this one actually

I was going to suggest Amtrak as well but I'm not sure if that would be possible or not? Not 100% sure on that one

You could also hop a cab to Orlando Int'l Airport and then grab a flight to Fort Lauderdale or Miami International, and from there grab a cab to your hotel in Ft Lauderdale

That is what I would do if the train was not an option

Please don't ride Greyhound

Thank you so much for your responses. We have had to cancel the trips since I will be starting a new job soon and won't be able to take vacation. You have all been helpful.

I suggest for someone when looking for a transportation in the state of Florida to google it as @anerk said: Florida Shuttle Transportation could help. Also, You may find a few transportation services that will help you as well.

For what it's worth, you can take Amtrak from Orlando to Ft. Lauderdale.

^ Amtrak from Orlando to Ft. Lauderdale will take about 6-7 hours due to all of the stops in between.
