Although the website posted by noodles ranks orlando low, all the other cities in our range include Charlotte, Atlanta, and other important cities. I wouldn't judge cities through a study like that.
And New Orleans ranked number 1 only because most of the poor from that area fled to other cities...
It also pointed out strategies theOrlando area is taking to improve, so it still shows Orlando towards on optimistic step

How is the job market in Orlando? I'm relocating in a month and it seems like jobs are hard to come by, even in the service industry.

My sister just moved out of Michigan and headed to Florida. Orlando is where she started her search for something...I guess a job first.

I never hear too many good things happening in Florida. Plus a few years back I heard they built subdivisions so fast the roads could not handle all the traffic.

I think Seminole or the main road running east to Cocoa is very heavy for traffic in high peaks. Again, I only hear this from my other sister who has lived in Orlando for over 15 years.

The other thing is the school systems. My sister who just moved there said the school system in east Orlando was really bad. Bad in the sense that her two older children were not doing good academically. In Michigan her one son was struggling with homework and such. In Orlando he was passing with flying colors. No problem. I guess that concerned her and she headed off to the West coast area where she found something better in the way of education.
